The class will be taught by local jewelry maker Mary Barada. Participants in the class will create their own wire pendant and attach it to a simple cord choker-style necklace.
Learning to work with wire will expand the budding jewelry artist's skill set, and participants will create in one class a simple elegant neckpiece, according to a release from the library.
The class is for people ages 17 and older. Participants are encouraged to bring any beading tools they may have, but tools will be available for people to share during the workshop.
The cost of this class, including materials, is $10. Payment will be made directly to the instructor. The class is limited to 12 participants, and registration is required.
Participants can register using the library's online calendar at http://www.EFLibrary.org or by calling 845-221-9943.
The class will be from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
The library is at 348 Route 376, Hopewell Junction.
